Fenton′s fertile land and proximity to the Meramec River have resulted in the area′s being populated for over one thousand years. First occupied by pioneers in the 1770s, the current city was founded in 1818. A warm and welcoming place to live and work, Fenton′s weather is generally pleasant, as temperatures range, seasonally, from the mid–teens to the mid–90s.
